Frits is a seasoned Security Leader with over fourteen years of experience in Security Risk Management and Enterprise Security Architecture. He is the Principal-in-Charge of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Advisory services at KPMG in the Philippines, supporting various industries in both public and private sectors.
As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Frits has helped organizations across diverse industries in the APAC and US regions by aligning security strategies with business objectives, risk, and technology landscapes. He has led numerous Cyber Strategy & Governance projects, including security assessments (ISMS, SOC 2, NIST CSF, CIS), framework development, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) assessments. He has also overseen Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) engagements and Red Teaming exercises.
Frits has advised a government agency in Malaysia, an insurance company in Vietnam, and a major commercial bank in Vietnam on Enterprise Security Architecture. He has led cybersecurity advisory projects, including ISMS consulting for a large utility company in the Philippines and enterprise architecture consulting for a global port management company. Additionally, he has been involved in several solution architecture orchestrations in the Philippines.
Leading a team of information security consultants, Frits conducts third-party control assessments focused on IT security, business continuity, physical security, and background checks. Previously, he was a Lead Consultant for Technology Risk Office of one international insurance company and Security Solution Advisor of a global technology and consulting provider. He also worked as a Senior Network Engineer and ISMS Internal Auditor for one of the largest commercial banks in the Philippines with over 200 branches nationwide.
