Monette currently holds the positions of Country Risk Management Partner and Head of the Department of Professional Practice at R.G. Manabat & Co., KPMG in the Philippines. Before joining KPMG, she served as the General Accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 2007 to 2013. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in leading the implementation of relevant regulatory actions aimed at fully adopting International Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards in the Philippines.
Prior to her role as the SEC General Accountant, Monette served as an Assistant Director in the SEC Corporate Finance Department from 2001 to 2007. In this capacity, she oversaw the registration of securities and monitored the compliance of publicly-listed entities and other issuers of securities with public regulations.
Additionally, Monette serves as the Executive Director of the Capital Market Development Council, an advocacy group comprised of leaders from financial sector government agencies and private sector organizations, working together towards the development of the Philippine capital market. She also leads the KPMG ASPAC Board Leadership Center.
