As Oman progresses towards the implementation of electronic invoicing ("e-invoicing"), there have been two significant developments last week:

      1. Release of the final PINT Oman specifications on the PEPPOL website
The final PINT Oman specifications have been released on the PEPPOL site. Based on a preliminary review, there are no changes to the draft PINT Oman specifications released in April 2026. To access our previous update on the overview of the draft PINT Oman specifications, click here.
      2. Launch of the Oman PEPPOL testbed for pre-approved service providers
The Oman PEPPOL testbed is now open for pre-approved service providers to complete the technical testing and demonstrate compliance with the technical, interoperability, and security requirements under Oman’s e-invoicing framework. Once a pre-approved service provider successfully completes these tests, it will be recognized as an Approved Service Provider (“ASP”) by the OTA.  The list of final ASPs will be published by the OTA on their Fawtara portal, click here to access the site.

      Next steps

Taxpayers that have been holding up e-invoicing implementation for the want of final PINT Oman specifications or the list of ASPs can now jump start the project by:

      • Assessing ERP and billing system readiness against the final PINT Oman specifications
      • Reviewing invoice data availability and data quality
      • Identifying and remediating process gaps
      • Evaluating and engaging with ASP
      • Preparing for testing well before mandatory implementation

Timely preparation will help minimize implementation risks and avoid project bottlenecks as the implementation deadlines approach.
