Wouter Huurman has more than 10 years of experience in sustainability advisory. He works with clients in both the public and private sector on the interconnected transitions related to biodiversity, nature‑positive strategy and circular economy.

He supports organizations in developing and implementing nature‑positive and circular strategies that improve environmental impact, strengthen resilience and create long‑term value. His work includes biodiversity data and nature‑related risk assessment, circular operating models, and integrating environmental considerations into strategic and operational decision‑making. He helps clients respond to tightening regulations, planetary boundaries, and growing expectations around transparency, sustainable resource use and value chain stewardship.

Wouter also guides organizations in strengthening their ESG and nature‑related reporting, ensuring that biodiversity, circularity and other environmental data meet new regulatory requirements and provide meaningful insights for decision‑makers. He additionally advises on the ESG, circularity and nature‑data capabilities needed to support transformation — from data architecture to analytics and governance.

Wouter joined KPMG Sustainability after a career in environmental consulting and biodiversity‑related research. He holds academic qualifications in sustainability and environmental systems.
