Brigitte Beugelaar

Brigitte has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector in the field of Assurance & Advisory Services. She is the regional chair of the KPMG EMEA network that focuses on the development of the IT audit practice.

Brigitte has extensive experience with IT audits at (international) financial institutions, Quality Assurance reviews on programs and projects, SOC/ISAE assignments and advice related to the management of IT risks at financial institutions. In her role, she discusses how organizations implement the controlled introduction of new technologies, such as the use of algorithms, the effective design of internal control frameworks, as well as meeting relevant requirements from legislation and regulations.
