Soh Lian Seng, Head of Tax at KPMG in Malaysia, clarified that CP500 notices, which estimate taxpayers’ advance tax based on past income, are not driven by e-invoicing but rather are based on past tax filings and historical data. He advised taxpayers to review and request revisions if they do not reflect actual income.
