KPMG Education Trust Fund
The KPMG Education Trust Fund (“the Trust”) was established as part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to champion lifelong learning and empower education for B40 and young talents nationwide. The Trust annually commits RM500,000 to support our community through three sponsorship programs and one scholarship program:
Under the KPMG Young Spark program, each KPMG office across Malaysia supports a local school in their community. Collectively in FY22, 134 students from the B40 community across ten schools were sponsored by the firm, amounting to RM110,500 in sponsorships . On top of that, each school were given 2 refurbished laptops worth RM1,200 each. Carrying on our aim to support B40 students by easing their financial burden, we also continue to support and maintain a long-term relationship with these schools.

For FY22, the firm awarded scholarships to more than 150 recipients nationwide under the Trust. The firm also presented sponsorships to 6 children of KPMG personnel across several offices under the KPMG Young Excellence program. Nine undergraduates received the KPMG ASEAN Scholarship, whereas another 16 students were recipients of the KPMG Young Star sponsorship program. The event was attended by the beneficiaries, their families, along with the KPMG Education Trust Fund Board of Trustees and Partners.
Academic and Sports Achievement Awards (ASAA)
We celebrate the achievements of our people’s children through the Academic and Sports Achievement Awards (ASAA). The Academic Achievement is awarded based on grade point average under two categories, the High Achievers Award and the Merit Award. As for sports, the Sportsperson's Award is intended to recognize the children of KPMG personnel in representing their school, district, state, or country; a reward of excellence is presented to those who are placed first, second, or third in their respective sports.
Triple A-scored Program
Advancing on our agenda to support the B40 community, we established this program to provide refurbished laptops to eligible KPMG employees in support of educational opportunities for children during the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, 51 units of laptops were distributed to 51 children of KPMG personnel across 8 operating entities.
KPMG Virtual Adventour
KPMG’s Technology Risk and Cyber Security (TRC) team organized the KPMG Virtual Adventour in October 2022 in conjunction with the KPMG Global Cyber Day initiative. This one-hour workshop aimed at enhancing awareness of cyber security among youths. A total of 245 students participated in the workshop held at two schools located in Kuala Lumpur, SK Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam and SK Convent (1) Bukit Nanas.
Children’s Day Carnival
KPMG teams volunteered with the event set-up and post-event clean-up at a Children’s Day Carnival organized by SK Convent (1) Bukit Nanas, a school championed by the Petaling Jaya office.
MoU with universities
We have strengthened relationships with 14 top universities and colleges through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower the next generation of leaders. To date , we have Under this initiative, the firm has conducted over 500 engagement sessions and introduced programs, sponsorships and scholarships.
