Nearly 9 months have passed since the Service Tax scope expanded on 1 July 2025. Since then, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (“Customs”) has issued multiple updates to help businesses stay compliant – but keeping up can be challenging.
Some businesses may have unintentional errors or omissions that could result in under-reporting of Service Tax. The good news: there are ways to voluntarily disclose and correct these with Customs.
