Our People
Claudine Borg Azzopardi
Partner, People and Change Services
In my role as a People & Change Partner within Advisory Services, I am passionate about shaping cultures where people can thrive and perform at their best. I am equally intentional about maintaining my own balance, raising two teenagers while carving out time for what energises me: lindy hop dancing twice a week, early-morning strength training, and Sunday treks. For me, work-life balance is about intentionally designing a life that fuels both joy and performance.
Thane Micallef
Director, Audit Services
Guiding Valletta FC to the Jubilee Cup win has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Balancing my coaching commitments with my role at KPMG in Malta has reinforced just how powerful dedication and a strong sense of balance can be. It’s proof that with determination and a healthy work‑life balance, you can pursue your professional goals while still dedicating time to the passions that drive you.
Thomas Zammit
Associate Director, Tax Services
My mornings usually start with an early, energising workout. Physical training helps me stay focused, motivated, and ready to take on challenges with a positive mindset. In my free time I also play the bagpipes, a hobby I have been practicing for the past 20 years. It gives me the chance to work within a team towards a common goal, doing something we enjoy, and the opportunity to perform at unforgettable events, both locally and abroad, including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland, Basel Tattoo in Switzerland, and Andre Rieu’s concert in Malta. Prioritising both wellness and hobbies helps me bring my best self to everything I do.
Alessandra Rustico
Associate Director, Quality and Risk Management, Business Services
I maintain a healthy work–life balance by planning my time intentionally and setting clear boundaries that help me stay focused at work and fully present in my personal life. This is especially important to me as a mother, ensuring I can give my best in both worlds. I find balance through cooking, especially desserts and traditional dishes, and spending time with friends, whose positive energy helps me stay grounded and refreshed, as well as by listening to music, which helps me release stress and stay positive. I also love to travel and spend time in nature with my family, going on excursions whenever possible, as these experiences help me reconnect, recharge, and maintain the focus and motivation I need at work and at home as a mother.
