The Dar es Salaam office opened in 1996 and today consists of 175 professional staff offering KPMG’s core services in audit, tax and financial advisory as well as specialist services in the area of international development advisory. KPMG’s global expertise and local presence makes it one of the strongest providers of professional services to the public and development sectors in Tanzania. The IDAS business unit is an integral part of the KPMG Tanzania office within the Advisory department. With strong links in the Tanzanian government, private sector, and civil society, the business unit in Tanzania has a client base of more than 90 local and international organisations across the public, private and civil society sectors.
KPMG has assisted in the delivery of high profile climate change and resilience programs across global, national and sub-national contexts. Our Tanzania team is made up of professional staff from Tanzania and other parts of the world. Its mix of cultures, professionalism and dedication has enabled the IDAS business unit in Tanzania to support grantees who are catalysing the development and testing of new models of service delivery in the education, health and water and sanitation sectors, and to work with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) empowering citizens to hold government accountable for the delivery of quality services.
