We implemented the County Innovation Challenge Fund (CICF), a four-year grant by the UK Government under the Maternal and New-born Health Improvement (MANI), implemented through a consortium with Options Consultancy Services Ltd, UK. Through the £16 million challenge fund, we provided funding to innovative projects, offered local solutions to reducing maternal and new-born mortality in six Kenyan counties of Bungoma, Garissa, Homa Bay, Kakamega, Turkana and Nairobi City County. We also supported the scale up of projects that demonstrated clear impact in reducing maternal and new-born mortality.
