James is a Partner in the KPMG East Africa Deal Advisory practice and leads KPMG's infrastructure advisory business unit across the East, West, and Southern African regions. 

James has advised governments, project developers/sponsors, financiers and development partners on their infrastructure and PPP projects across the African continent for over a decade. During his time in Africa, James has developed extensive regional sector experience across road, rail, airports, airlines, ports, SEZs, urban regeneration, urban mobility, power generation and distribution, oil & gas, affordable housing, water, and sanitation. His delivery capability spans the infrastructure asset lifecycle from strategy, feasibility studies/business case development, procurement, financing and delivery.

James is a member of KPMG Africa’s Advisory Management Committee and KPMG EMA’s Transport & Infrastructure Steering Committee. James is the chair of the East Africa branch council of the International Project Finance Association (IPFA).

Prior to relocating permanently to Africa in 2014, James working in KPMG’s infrastructure advisory teams in London and Sydney.
