Rose Mbugua

Rose joined KPMG in 2022 as an Associate Director in the Quality and Risk Management function, responsible for driving compliance with standards, regulations, and policies at KPMG.

Rose’s career began as an external auditor in a professional services firm, where she later transitioned to Risk and Compliance. Rose has over 16 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, ethics, and audit, working in East Africa, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Rose currently serves as the Board Co-Chair of the Women Corporate Directors (Kenya Chapter), an organization dedicated to empowering women to assume board roles and elevate corporate governance standards

Rose holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Nairobi. She is a qualified accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public
