Willis Genga serves as the Head of Technology Audit in East Africa and Technology Audit Quality for KPMG One Africa. He plays a central role in shaping the firm’s audit technology strategy across the region. With a professional career spanning more than 19 years, Willis has established himself as a leader with deep experience across multiple industries and geographies.
His skills encompass technology governance, business continuity management, data and analytics, general IT controls, application controls, and infrastructure security reviews. These include comprehensive IT audits as per the directives of banking regulators in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. His work experience extends to the KPMG US office in Chicago, where he deepened his exposure to global audit practices. He also heads the Technology, Media and Telecommunication sector for the East Africa region, guiding project delivery and sector-specific performance.
Willis holds a Bachelor of Business Information Technology degree from Strathmore University and a Master of Science in Information Systems Management postgraduate degree from the University of Liverpool. He is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
