Senior Advisor – International Development Services (IDAS) - Rwanda

The IDAS team in KPMG Rwanda serves clients in development, covering various sectors including inclusive finance, governance, education among others 

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our IDAS team based in Kigali, Rwanda.

The successful candidate shall be involved in delivery of services to clients. These will include, Accounting and financial reporting services, Organisation capacity assessments, third party monitoring services, independent verification services, Fiduciary risk assessments and Fund management services. Key roles and responsibilities
 

Key roles and responsibilities

• Providing high quality, professional day-to-day execution of Advisory engagements and special projects.
• Prepare high quality reports, deliverables and required documentation for every engagement in accordance with KPMG quality requirements.
• Ensure good relationship with clients is maintained in the process of performing client work.
• Complete engagements within the budgeted time and ensure that any budget overruns are recovered and communicated on a timely basis .
• Monitor and evaluate multiple or complex projects regularly to check how they are proceeding against deadlines and budgets.
• Manage conflicting demands and priorities.
• Manage client expectations over level and speed of service.
• Share new knowledge gained from attending trainings or participating in new client engagements, through a learning hour to colleagues in the department.
• Reviewing work for team on time and giving constructive feedback, where applicable.
• Ensure client risks are identified timely and discussed with manager and appropriate actions taken on time.
• Suggest process improvement on activities of the function to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Support in business development to identify business opportunities and in preparation of proposals
• Manage client billings and collections.

Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from any reputable University and preferably in a business-related field.
• CPA / ACCA or any other relevant professional qualification or in final stage of completing the professional qualification
• 4-5 years’ work experience within a busy environment in a reputable Accounting or Consulting firm.
