KPMG Ignition Tokyo、長期実践型インターンシッププログラムを開始

この度、KPMGジャパングループのデジタル変革とイノベーション創発の拠点である、株式会社KPMG Ignition Tokyo（本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役社長：茶谷 公之、以下、KIT）は、新たなインターンシッププログラムとして、「Internship Program 點火（てんか）^※1」を2021年6月から開始します。本プログラムは最長12か月間、実務現場で実際のプロジェクトに従事する機会を提供する、長期実践型のインターンシッププログラムです。

現在、日本の企業ではインターンシッププログラムを提供していますが、その多くは半日から1週間程度という短期間の講義や座学を中心としたプログラムとなっています^※2。また、年々「実践的な仕事を経験できること」を希望する学生が増加している中、実務を経験することができた学生は10%以下になっているという調査結果も見られます^※2。そのような状況を踏まえ、KITでは、学生の皆さんの実務へのより深い理解を促進し、実務を通じた社員との交流を促すために、実践経験を積むことに焦点を当てた「Internship Program 點火（てんか）」を提供することとしました。本プログラムの特徴は以下の通りです。

• 実際のプロジェクトにメンバーとして携わり、大学で学んだことを実務の現場で応用できる。
• 長期的に実際のプロジェクトに関わることによって、ビジネスの流れを学ぶことができる。
• 世界中の優秀な学生が本プログラムに参加するため、多様なバックグラウンドを持つ仲間から多くの学びを得られる。
• 最終プロジェクトとして2週間のハッカソンがあり、全社会議やグローバル会議などでの成果発表のチャンスがある。
• カウンセラー制度があり、業務の改善点やキャリアに関するアドバイスなどを受けながらプログラムを進めることができる。
• キャリア選択の参考となるよう、さまざまなバックグラウンドを持つKIT社員から話を聞くことができる「Learning from Professionals」セッションなど、多様なキャリア研修を受講できる。

KPMG Ignition Tokyo, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Masayuki Chatani; “KIT,” hereafter), a hub to promote digital transformation and the sparking of innovation at KPMG Japan, will launch a new internship program called the “Internship Program TENKA (Ignition)^※1” in June 2021. This is a long-term practical internship program which provides the opportunity to engage in actual projects at an actual worksite for a maximum of 12 months.

Japanese companies are currently providing internship programs but many of these programs involve mainly short-term lectures and classroom learning-style courses lasting from half a day to about one week^※2 . Also, survey results indicate that while the number of students who want “to experience practical work” is increasing year by year, fewer than 10% of students were able to experience practical work^※2 . Based on these circumstances, KIT has decided to provide the “Internship Program TENKA (Ignition),” which focuses on enabling students to accumulate hands-on experience of practical work so that they can better understand it and interact with employees through work. The key features of KIT’s program are as follows:

• Students can engage in actual projects as members and apply what they have learned at university in actual work.
• Students can learn about business flow by engaging in an actual project for a long period of time.
• Students can learn many things from outstanding students who will participate in this program from all over the world with various backgrounds.
• The final project will be a two-week hackathon, which will provide students with a chance to present their achievements at company-wide meetings and global meetings.
• There is a counselor system, which allows students to proceed with the program while receiving advice on their career and how to improve their work.
• Various career seminars can be taken such as the “Learning from Professionals” session, where students can hear stories from KIT employees with various backgrounds that will help them in choosing their career.
