Navigating through BEPS - Interaction with the Indian Competent Authority
In early October 2015, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released its final recommendations relating to the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project. Many countries around the globe have been taking actions on the draft recommendations even before the final recommendations were issued by OECD. Representatives from the Indian Revenue have been proactively involved in the BEPS project and India is also planning to make various legislative and administrative changes in the near future which is expected to have an impact on tax laws and taxpayers.
The discussion will be led by KPMG’s senior tax and transfer pricing professionals and will include interaction with the Indian Competent Authority, Mr. Akhilesh Ranjan.
