KPMG is honoured to support Ireland’s first major Pablo Picasso exhibition in a quarter of a century, celebrating one of the most groundbreaking and influential artists of the 20th century.

Picasso: From the Studio, presented by the National Gallery of Ireland in partnership with the Musée National Picasso-Paris and proudly backed by KPMG Ireland; offers a rare and intimate look into the creative spaces where Picasso’s revolutionary works came to life. This landmark exhibition opens on 9 October 2025 and runs until 22 February 2026, promising to be a cultural highlight of the year.

Visitors will be invited to step inside the heart of Picasso’s artistic process, exploring the studios that shaped his vision and transformed modern art.

At KPMG, we believe in the power of arts and culture to inspire, connect, and enrich communities. Supporting initiatives like this reflects our commitment to making Dublin a dynamic and vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

We encourage everyone to experience this extraordinary exhibition and celebrate the enduring legacy of one of history’s most iconic creative minds.

      About the exhibition

Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) lived surrounded by his art, with his personal life and creative process deeply intertwined. Picasso: From the Studio brings together 60 paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and works on paper, spanning over 50 years of his career.

The exhibition journeys through the diverse phases, styles, and passions that defined Picasso’s work, from the vibrant studios of Montmartre in the 1920’s to the sunlit interiors of his final home in Mougins. Photographic and audio-visual elements will offer an immersive glimpse into his world, offering fresh perspective on how his surroundings influenced his artistic output.

Curated by Joanne Snretch, Curator of Paintings, Musée national Picasso-Paris, and Janet McLean, Curator of Modern Art, National Gallery of Ireland the exhibition presents both iconic masterpieces and lesser-known works.

Highlights include A Bottle and Newspaper (1913) and Violin and Bottle on a Table (1915), created in Paris, and key examples of his pioneering Synthetic Cubism.

Also featured are Tête de femme (1931–1932) and Portrait de Marie-Thérèse (1937), produced at the Château de Boisgeloup in Normandy, reflecting his intense relationship with Marie-Thérèse Walter.

One of his final works, Musician (1972), created in his studio in Mougins, will also be on display, encapsulating recurring motifs from his career - guitars, musicians, and eyes - blended together in his distinctive style.
