KPMG proudly supports Ireland's first major Pablo Picasso exhibition in 25 years - one of the most revolutionary and influential artists of the 20th century.
Picasso: From the Studio, presented by the National Gallery of Ireland in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso-Paris and proudly supported by KPMG Ireland, is a landmark exhibition offering visitors a unique glimpse into the private world of Picasso’s studios, where some of the most ground-breaking works of modern art were created.
Running from 11 October 2025 to 22 February 2026, Picasso: From the Studio is set to be a cultural highlight of the year. This major exhibition invites visitors to step into the heart of Picasso's creative process and explore the spaces where his vision took shape.
About the exhibition
Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) lived surrounded by his art, with his personal life and creative process deeply intertwined. Picasso: From the Studio brings together 60 paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and works on paper, spanning over 50 years of his career.
The exhibition journeys through the diverse phases, styles, and passions that defined Picasso’s work, from the vibrant studios of Montmartre in the 1920’s to the sunlit interiors of his final home in Mougins. Photographic and audio-visual elements will offer an immersive glimpse into his world, offering fresh perspective on how his surroundings influenced his artistic output.
Curated by Joanne Snretch, Curator of Paintings, Musée national Picasso-Paris, and Janet McLean, Curator of Modern Art, National Gallery of Ireland the exhibition presents both iconic masterpieces and lesser-known works. Highlights include A Bottle and Newspaper (1913) and Violin and Bottle on a Table (1915), created in Paris, and key examples of his pioneering Synthetic Cubism.
Also featured are Tête de femme (1931–1932) and Portrait de Marie-Thérèse (1937), produced at the Château de Boisgeloup in Normandy, reflecting his intense relationship with Marie-Thérèse Walter.
One of his final works, Musician (1972), created in his studio in Mougins, will also be on display, encapsulating recurring motifs from his career—guitars, musicians, and eyes—blended together in his distinctive style.
