New partners at KPMG

New partners at KPMG reflect continued strong demand for its audit, tax, deal advisory and consulting services.

Commenting on our new partners, Seamus Hand, Managing Partner of KPMG in Ireland said; “I’d like to congratulate our new partners on their achievement. Supporting our clients at a time of complexity, change and opportunity is a significant priority for us and the experience and expertise of our new partners is testament to this commitment.” KPMG recorded a 15% rise in turnover in the year ended 31 December 2022 with revenues increasing to €579m in 2022, up from €504m in 2021.

The new partners are: Shane Garahy (Risk Consulting), Brian Medjaou (Audit), Conor Holland (Audit), James Neill (Turnaround & Restructuring), Paddy Doherty (Tax) and Derek Hegarty (KPMG Law).

Meet our new partners

Meet Shane Garahy

Shane is a Risk Consulting partner focused on financial services with specific expertise in the banking sector and a broad range of risk experience across other sectors. Shane leads the firm’s product services providing strategic advice and support across a range of product risk areas.

Meet Brian Medjaou

Brian is an audit partner in KPMG’s Financial Services group. He has extensive experience providing audit and advisory services to clients in the asset management and insurance sectors. 

Meet Conor Holland

Conor is a partner in our assurance group with deep experience across a range of sectors, providing audit and advisory services to banking, asset management and real estate clients. He currently leads KPMG Ireland’s ESG reporting and assurance team, and is part of our European sustainability reporting leadership group.  

Meet James Neill

James is a partner within our Deal Advisory practice and is Head of the Turnaround, Restructuring and Forensics Practice in Northern Ireland. He has over 20 years of experience advising Irish, UK and international clients on all aspects of deal advisory across a breadth of M&A and turnaround scenarios. 

Meet Paddy Doherty

Paddy is a member of KPMG’s Private Enterprise team and has over 20 years’ experience advising clients on a wide range of UK and international tax matters. His client base encompasses both owner managed businesses and multinational groups within the hospitality, manufacturing, utilities and property sectors. 

Meet Derek Hegarty

Derek is a KPMG Law partner. He advises corporations and individuals on compliance with regulation. He specialises in providing strategic advice on engagements with regulators concerning suspected non-compliance and related investigations and enforcement actions.
