Matthew is Co-Head of Infrastructure and Head of Major Project Advisory and Asset Management. Matthew is a Charted Engineer with approaching 25 years experience across a wide range of infrastructure and engineering sectors in multiple jurisdictions including Northern Ireland, Ireland, Great Britain, Italy, the USA and the Middle East. Matthew worked in industry for 14 years before joining KPMG in London in 2015 and has held a leadership role in KPMG Ireland’s Infrastructure team since 2019 serving Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Matthew has significant sector experience in transport, aerospace and defence, digital infrastructure, data centre development and energy and utilities including electricity, gas and water.
Matthew has led on include infrastructure organisation strategy development, policy and feasibility analysis including strategic business case development, infrastructure regulation, asset management, capital projects and portfolio management, commercial and procurement advisory, governance and internal audit, assurance, M&A advice and due diligence, transformation and business change.
Matthew has a strong interest in ESG and decarbonisation and has led a number of strategic engagements at policy intervention level and feasibility in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
