The autumn tax package accepted by Parliament has narrowed the scope of reportable data compared to the proposal for taxpayers subject to the Act on Top-Up Taxes Ensuring a Global Minimum Level of Taxation.

The act is currently awaiting presidential sign off, but in line with the previously published draft declaration form it maintains that taxpayers need report only the necessary data pertaining to the domestic constituent entities and ultimate parent entities of multinational enterprise groups or large-scale domestic groups on the dedicated form entitled “Globe”.

The declaration form is currently available only via the Online Form Completion Application (abbreviated to ONYA in Hungarian).

The declaration form can be submitted by the domestic constituent entities separately or by a designated domestic entity acting on their behalf. In the latter case, the declaration should contain the data of all domestic constituent entities.

The deadline is 31 December 2024 for domestic constituent entities whose financial year ends on 31 December or was terminated during 2024.

We are, naturally, at your disposal should you need assistance in fulfilling your reporting obligation.
