Companies must register on the MOHU Corporate Partner Portal and with the Waste Management Authority by 31 May, in accordance with legal requirements.
There are two stages to registration:
- Pre-registration with the concession company (MOHU) via their electronic interface.
- Registration with the National Waste Management Authority.
Given the fact that the packaging of products also creates an obligation, almost all companies are affected.
In the event of a breach of the Extended Producer Responsibility obligations, the National Waste Management Authority may impose fines and, in certain cases, suspend the marketing of the product in question.
