Julianna holds a degree in environmental engineering from the University of Debrecen. After earning her master’s degree, she lived and worked in Brussels for six years, where she gained international experience in managing European Union projects related to the agricultural sector’s role in sustainability, as well as in shaping European Union policies. She is currently the Head of Sustainability for KPMG’s CEE region.
In her work, she supports corporate clients in navigating the increasingly complex expectations surrounding sustainability, while helping them identify and capitalize on the business opportunities these present. Her goal is for sustainability to be more than just a compliance obligation in an organization’s operations; rather, she aims to ensure it is organically integrated into their strategy, decision-making processes, and corporate culture.
Julianna joined KPMG’s compliance services team in 2017 and has been working exclusively on sustainability-related topics since 2023. In her work, she has participated in ex-ante assessments and certifications in accordance with the ISAE 3000 standard, as well as sustainability advisory services for a range of clients, including financial institutions, manufacturing companies, and international civil society organizations.
Julianna regularly publishes, teaches, and gives interviews, primarily on topics related to sustainability regulation. Her professional involvement also extends to KPMG’s own operations: at the executive level, she is responsible for implementing the company’s corporate responsibility (CR) strategy in Hungary.
