Panagiotis is always ready for the next challenging “mission”. As part of the Public Sector team, he works with high motivation, passion, determination, integrity, and a strong commitment to quality. With an academic background in Classical Studies and a specialization in Latin Language and Literature, he hasn’t followed the typical path you might expect from a consultant - yet he uniquely combines analytical thinking with creativity and sharp insight. His humor, positive attitude, and authenticity make him a standout colleague and a valuable member of the team.
"My journey into Public Sector Consulting was a series of coincidences. And if you had asked me ten years ago, I would never have been able to imagine it. To be honest, I don’t think I even knew such a job existed, let alone that I would find myself doing it and getting excited about it. Having gone through different areas of work, I eventually arrived in the public works sector through a path that often felt like progressing through levels in a video game. Maybe that’s why I see every project as a new level, a new mission to unlock the next stage. Each one different from the last, because who doesn’t like a constant challenge?
Of course, there are no cheats here. No shortcuts or skipping steps, and that’s what makes each project so unique. Every assignment is different, every challenge is new, and that’s perhaps the greatest motivation. Learning something that I didn’t know until yesterday is why I really love this job. Every day feels like the first day, every day is a new opportunity to discover something new and to add value based on what I learned yesterday, without having to compromise quality or integrity.
Naturally, none of this would be possible without the people around you. Because, as Yuval Noah Harari says, companies exist because we believe they do. And teams give meaning to a company when they share goals and purpose. I consider myself lucky in that regard.
Obviously, it’s not always easy - but that’s part of the consulting life. At the end of the day, what truly makes me happy is knowing that through our work, we contribute, to a greater or lesser extent, to making the world around us better. Professional growth and hitting targets are always rewarding, but when all that fades away, what remains is the knowledge that you helped make the world a little bit better - even if it was through a complex Excel sheet or a presentation away from the spotlight."
