“Entering my thirties, I realized that the comfort of a predictable path had started to feel more like a limitation than a source of stability. So, in September 2023, I decided to hit reset and begin a new chapter at KPMG, joining the Global Mobility Services team.
The first day felt like an escape room with no instructions, with new terminology, different workflows, new processes. But the deeper I got into it, the clearer it became that GMS is not just about the proper application of international tax regulations. It’s primarily about supporting people who are themselves navigating professional, personal, and cultural transitions.
Handling such cases requires precision, adaptability, active listening, and the ability to decode complexity. In this context, patience is not just a personal virtue, but a tool for managing pressure and uncertainty. And technical skills only have real value when combined with professionalism, accountability, and empathy. With a bit of courage, structure, and persistence, I’ve learned to keep a clear perspective when everything around me moves fast. That clarity isn’t just a personal anchor, it becomes a point of reference for the team, allowing everyone to go forward with direction and confidence.
My background in Philology turned out to be more useful than I could have imagined, attention to detail, the instinct to understand before acting, clarity of thought. In an environment full of complexity and time pressure, these have become powerful tools. And since knowledge only has meaning when it can be shared, I try to communicate in a clear and human way, so that others feel they’re in good hands.
