As a graduate of Architecture, Labis has brought something special to the Transfer Pricing team; a different mindset and sharp problem-solving skills. Overtime, he has gained deep knowledge in his field, mentors his team without ego, collaborates without friction, and keeps calm even under the most intense deadlines.
“My journey began in the world of architecture and engineering - a space that taught me how to think holistically, to pay attention to both the details and the bigger picture, and to approach every problem as a chance for a creative solution. While moving from Architecture to Transfer Pricing might sound like an unusual shift, it turned out to be less of a leap than I expected. Both fields require analytical thinking, strategic perspective, and a creative mindset when facing complex problems.
At KPMG, I found a supportive environment that values collaboration, learning, and continuous growth. From day one, the onboarding experience was smooth, thanks to my team members that offered hands-on guidance, mentorship, and a truly collaborative spirit. My different academic background wasn’t seen as a barrier, but as a valuable addition that brought new perspectives and skills to the team.
Now, 11 years later, my work involves complex projects, international teams, and challenges that demand precision, adaptability, and clear thinking. What keeps me engaged is the variety and complexity of what we do - no two cases are the same, and each one requires a balance of technical expertise and creative problem-solving. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to work with people who gave me the space to grow, and now I try to offer that same support to the younger colleagues around me. As a more experienced member of the team, I contribute not only through technical skills, but also by fostering collaboration and support.
Looking ahead, what excites me most is the momentum technology is bringing into the field. Automation and AI aren’t just changing how we work, they’re expanding what we’re capable of delivering to our clients. I want to be part of that transformation. In our line of work, there’s always something new to learn and new challenges to tackle, and that’s what keeps me optimistic and energized about the future.”
