“In September 1999, I was working in the Accounting department of a food industry company when I was accepted into the postgraduate program in Long-Term Tax Law at the Athens University of Economics and Business. During my studies, I met several KPMG professionals. It was a demanding program, and through it, we developed a strong mutual respect. They were the ones who encouraged me to send my CV to KPMG, and that’s exactly what I did. Soon after, I became part of the team as a Senior Accountant in our Accounting department.
Working in the Accounting team of a firm like KPMG is both challenging and deeply rewarding. It’s a role that requires accuracy, accountability, and constant attention to detail, especially when dealing with complex tax matters and international transactions. Our main goal has always been clear -to ensure that everything we do reflects the integrity and good reputation of the firm in the market.
From day one, my colleagues at KPMG warmly welcomed me, trusted me, and helped me integrate into the team, which led to an exceptional, long-term collaboration.
25 years later, KPMG truly feels like my second family. We’ve been through so much together, from the pre-COVID-19 years (the Εuro transition, the financial crisis, capital controls) to the post-COVID-19 era (energy challenges, digital transformation, geopolitical uncertainty). Through it all, our commitment has remained unwavering. Today, as the firm has tripled in size despite every challenge, the sense of responsibility, and pride, feels even greater.
Over the years, we’ve shared countless joys, successes, difficulties, and moments of resilience, just like any real family does and we’ve always stuck TOGETHER. Many of us in the Accounting team have been working together for over 15 years, and that’s something truly special. At the same time, it’s wonderful to see new colleagues joining the team, bringing with them fresh ideas and contagious enthusiasm.
Today, as Head of Accounting and with 30 years of experience in the field, I make it a point to stay up to date with technological and regulatory changes, and I share my knowledge and experience with my team every day. I genuinely believe that’s what makes a team successful. After all, teamwork makes the dream work!”
