“I joined KPMG as a young lawyer with experience in a criminal law firm and with the open-mindedness you have at the start of your career, ready to try something new and see where it would take me. Yet, 25 years later, I’m still here! What has kept me? The culture, the people, and the company’s commitment to quality and values.
Over the years, I’ve held many positions and taken different roles, ten years in Legal and the rest in Tax. As the roles, responsibilities, and challenges evolved, so did I. Throughout this journey, certain traits of mine have helped me along the way, such as energy, optimism, and humor - humor in every interaction, with colleagues and clients alike. I truly believe that humor does not diminish the seriousness of our work. On the contrary, it strengthens human connections and makes our daily work life more enjoyable, no matter how demanding it may be.
Today, I am a Tax DPP Director (Department of Professional Practice). In practice, my role is to guide the tax and tax certification teams in navigating complex and challenging tax issues, drawing on knowledge, experience, and most importantly collaboration. Collaboration is what I consider the most essential element of our work. I strive to build bridges across teams, listen actively, and value everyone’s input and contributions. And this is something I hope to pass on to younger colleagues, that true professional maturity is not only demonstrated through technical expertise but also through your ability to collaborate, listen, and support those around you.
If I had to summarize my professional philosophy in a few words, I would say that success is not measured solely by deliverables or KPIs, but by how you make others feel when they work with you. If they feel trust, respect, and inspiration, then you have achieved something far greater than a well-executed tax solution.”
