Mr. Andrew Akoto is the Country Managing Partner of KPMG in Ghana, with a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades within the firm. He provides strategic leadership for KPMG’s operations in Ghana, overseeing firmwide growth initiatives.
Before assuming his current role, Mr. Akoto served as Partner and Head of Advisory, where he led KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice. Under his leadership, the practice supported high impact transformations across key sectors, including energy, financial services, telecommunications, mining, and government. His advisory work has contributed to strengthening governance frameworks, optimising operational performance, and enabling institutional resilience.
Mr. Akoto is recognised for his commitment to professional integrity, client value, and talent development. He has played a critical role in shaping KPMG’s presence in Ghana and across the sub-region, serving on the KPMG West Africa Board and holding the role of past Chairman of the Board.
He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) that reflect his technical depth and global professional standing.
