The bank faced the challenge of strategically addressing the highly complex issue of biodiversity. There was no clear basis for decision-making to make risks, opportunities and ambitions tangible and to align the organisation accordingly.
Structured strategy development with a scientific foundation
KPMG first analysed existing activities, market standards, and external tools and data sources. Building on this, a clear positioning and a concrete roadmap were developed to address risks, capitalise on opportunities and define measurable targets. Through collaboration with scientific partners and intensive internal involvement, the organisation was made aware of the issues at an early stage.
