Geopolitical crises are now having a faster, more direct and more intense impact on the manufacturing industry than ever before. For our sector report, we surveyed executives in the manufacturing sector and analysed how companies are dealing with growing risks, trade conflicts and regulatory uncertainties. The findings make it clear that many companies are already well-positioned organisationally, with clear lines of responsibility and established structures in place for geopolitical risk management. At the same time, however, there are significant gaps in practical implementation. In particular, translating risks into robust scenarios and into consistent strategic decisions and operational measures remains a challenge.
