The Federal Government intends to use the special fund in accordance with Article 143h of the Basic Law to realise key projects in the areas of transport, energy and climate neutrality. The legal structure is currently being prepared.
100 billion euros are earmarked for investments by the federal states and local authorities. A further 100 billion euros will be channelled into the Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF), which supports measures for the energy transition.
The special fund is reserved exclusively for additional investments - in other words, for measures that were not previously planned or financed.
Numerous participation opportunities are opening up for companies: infrastructure projects, for example, offer new markets and enable partnerships with the public sector. It is therefore crucial to identify the relevant fields of action at an early stage and to qualify for future procurement processes. New opportunities arise for the public sector to realise investments that were previously postponed due to a lack of budget.
We have compiled detailed information on possible infrastructure projects as well as their management and financing in the following articles.
