Michael Salcher

Michael Salcher has studied Business Administration and has qualified as German Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and German Tax Accountant (Steuerberater).

Michael started his career in 1997 and has worked for KPMG in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and London, for his clients worldwide.

His professional experience comprises of auditing financial statements as well as comprehensive transaction advice of international clients, particularly in sectors like energy, infrastructure, transport and logistics. As a valuation specialist he worked on multiple corporate finance tasks, focusing on enterprise valuations, fairness opinions, corporate steering, investment controlling and structuring of complex transactions. 

He is member of the IDW working group “Fairness Opinions” and has drafted the professional standard for Fairness Opinions (IDW S8) in Germany.

Since 2013, Michael Salcher has been responsible for the sector energy and has been appointed as Regional Head for Eastern Germany in 2019.
