Dr. Markus Gsödl

Partner, Tax, International Transaction Tax

KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft

Since 2007, I have been advising clients on tax matters in national and international restructurings and assisting in M&A transactions. I focus on the post-deal and restructuring phase for clients in the inbound and outbound areas. In the inbound area, I lead KPMG's UK country practice tax-wise and look after our clients directly at the UK headquarters. On the technical side, I frequently advise on reorganisation tax law and withholding taxes in relation to the tax structuring of profit repatriation mechanisms and intangibles (IP).

As the education of young people is close to my heart, I am involved on a part-time basis as a lecturer in the area of corporate taxation as part of an LL.M. programme at the University of Cologne. In my spare time, I take care of my family, enjoy travelling to other countries and flying planes as a private pilot.
