"As Head of Internal Controls I am responsible for the service quality, the identification of new trends and the timeliness and competitiveness of KPMG services related to the implementation, optimization and audit of internal control systems (ICS). In addition, I belong to KPMG's Country Practice Japan in Germany.
With reliable, but at the same time simply structured ICS and governance, risk & compliance approaches, we meet the expectations of capital market-oriented companies as well as SMEs and family businesses. From concept development to software implementation support, individual solutions are always required. These must reflect the existing corporate governance set-up, the culture of the company and the level of security and reliability that the respective control system should and can deliver.
The ICS is also regularly geared towards streamlining the business processes and making them more efficient. This is where the opportunities of standardization and automation come into play This ICS transformation uses agile approaches and current technologies, e.g. RPA, Process Mining, CCM and GRC software. My particular interest in each project is in the individual stakeholders and the ability of the organization to autonomously design and implement process and controls - the ICS must be "lived".
