Klaus Becker has been appointed Chairman of KPMG's Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMA) region in 2023. In this role, he is responsible for driving our Collective Strategy and cross-border collaboration with the more than 100 countries in the region – with the aim of serving our clients with the same standards and quality wherever they are.
Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Spokesman of the Managing Board of KPMG in Germany since 2011. In addition to his national management activities, he represented KPMG in Germany to clients and organizations as well as in the international network.
He started his career at KPMG in 1993 and was appointed partner in 2001. As an auditor and tax advisor, he gained many years of experience in auditing the annual and consolidated financial statements of nationally and internationally operating companies as well as in providing strategic support to major DAX40 companies. In 2006, he became a member of the Managing Board, initially for Financial Services; in 2010, he assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and, finally, in 2011, that of Spokesman of the Managing Board and CEO.
