Klaus Becker was appointed Chairman of KPMG's Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMA) region in 2023. In this role, he is responsible for the implementation of our joint strategy and cross-border cooperation with the more than 100 countries in the region - with the aim of serving our clients everywhere with the same standards and quality.
Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Spokesman of the Executive Board of KPMG in Germany since 2011. In addition to his national management activities, he represented KPMG in Germany to clients and organizations as well as in the international network.
He started his career at KPMG in 1993 and was appointed partner in 2001. As an auditor and tax advisor, he gained many years of experience in auditing the annual and consolidated financial statements of national and international companies and in providing strategic support to large DAX40 companies. In 2006, he became a member of the Executive Board, initially for Financial Services; in 2010, he took on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and finally, in 2011, that of Spokesman of the Executive Board and CEO.
