KPMG and CIM offered two academic scholarships

Within the framework of their strategic partnership, KPMG in Cyprus and the Cyprus Institute of Marketing (CIM), offered two academic scholarships in total, thus giving the opportunity to two fellow citizens to acquire an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree.

The process aroused significant interest. Following thorough examination of the large number of applications, KPMG and CIM decided to offer the scholarships as follows:

• 1 full scholarship worth € 7.800 to Kyriacos Charalambous, for the postgraduate programme MBA Shipping (14 Months FT/24 Months PT). The programme is available only in Limassol
• 1 partial scholarship worth € 7.000 to Andreas Christodoulou, for the undergraduate programme of the University of West London, BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance. The scholarship covers the first out of the three years duration of the programme. The programme is offered in Nicosia and/or in Limassol

CIM excels in the local academia for over 44 years and is considered to be one of the most prominent educational institutions in the island for management studies. The two programmes are taught in English and are delivered in evening classes. The programmes are accredited by KYSATS. Based on economic criteria, the successful candidates may also receive state sponsorship.

The scholarship offered is part of a series of initiatives implemented by KPMG in Cyprus, which fall under its corporate social responsibility framework. KPMG in Cyprus will continue to be at the forefront of promoting knowledge but also strengthening the synergies between businesses and the research community.

Στο πλαίσιο στρατηγικής συνεργασίας η KPMG Κύπρου και το Cyprus Institute of Marketing (CIM) παραχώρησαν συνολικά δύο υποτροφίες, δίνοντας έτσι τη δυνατότητα απόκτησης πτυχίου ή μεταπτυχιακού σε δύο συμπολίτες μας.

Η διαδικασία υποβολής αιτήσεων παρουσίασε αυξημένο ενδιαφέρον. Μετά από διεξοδική εξέταση του μεγάλου αριθμού αιτήσεων, η KPMG Κύπρου και το CIM αποφάσισαν να προσφέρουν τις υποτροφίες ως εξής:

• 1 πλήρη υποτροφία αξίας €7.800 στον Κυριάκο Χαραλάμπους, για το μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα MBA Shipping μονοετούς (full time) ή διετούς (part time) διάρκειας (φοίτηση στη Λεμεσό)
• 1 μερική υποτροφία αξίας €7.000 στον Ανδρέα Χριστοδούλου, για το προπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα του University of West London, BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance. Η υποτροφία αφορά το πρώτο έτος από τα συνολικά τρία που είναι η διάρκεια του προγράμματος (δυνατότητα φοίτησης στη Λευκωσία ή/και Λεμεσό)

Το CIM πρωτοπορεί εδώ και 44 χρόνια στο ακαδημαϊκό γίγνεσθαι της χώρας μας και θεωρείται ως το πλέον εξειδικευμένο ίδρυμα εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης των εργαζόμενων στις διοικητικές επιστήμες. Τα δύο προγράμματα διδάσκονται στην αγγλική γλώσσα και τα μαθήματα είναι βραδινά. Είναι αναγνωρισμένα από το ΚΥΣΑΤΣ ενώ στη βάση οικονομικών κριτηρίων οι εισερχόμενοι φοιτητές μπορούν να λάβουν και κρατική χορηγία.

Η παραχώρηση υποτροφιών εντάσσεται σε μια σειρά δράσεων που υλοποιεί η KPMG Κύπρου στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος εταιρικής κοινωνικής ευθύνης. Η KPMG Κύπρου θα συνεχίσει να πρωτοστατεί όχι μόνο στην προώθηση της εκμάθησης, αλλά και στην ενίσχυση των συνεργειών μεταξύ των επιχειρήσεων και της ερευνητικής κοινότητας.
