Gayle Dickerson, Ryan Eagle and Tim Mableson were appointed Administrators of McWilliam’s Wines Group Ltd and Mount Pleasant Wines Pty Ltd on 8 January 2020.
At the second meeting of creditors of the Group on 24 July 2020, creditors voted in favour of the following:
- A Deed of Company Arrangement be executed for the Group.
- A Committee of Inspection be appointed for the Deed Administration of McWilliam’s Wines Group.
The Deed of Company Arrangement was executed on 3 August 2020 and Gayle Dickerson, Tim Mableson and Ryan Eagle were appointed Deed Administrators.

Meetings
As detailed in the Deed Administrators’ circular to creditors dated 22 February 2021, we lodged an urgent application to the Federal Court of Australia on 19 February 2021 to seek Orders to allow us to further adjourn the Resumed Meetings on 23 February 2021 to 30 April 2021 (with the option to resume the meetings earlier as needed to align with the settlement of a sale transaction).
At the Resumed Meetings held 29 April 2021, creditors for both entities resolved to terminate the Deed of Company Arrangement and the Creditors Trust dated 3 August 2020 between the Group, the Trustees (being the Deed Administrators) and MCW BidCo Pty pursuant to Section 445C(b) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). The creditors also passed a resolution for each entity of the Group to each enter into the First Alternative DOCA (Calabria/Medich DOCA) pursuant to Part 5.3A of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and the Court Orders dated 16 April 2021 and 20 April 2021.
We are pleased to confirm that McWilliam’s Wines Group Ltd, Mount Pleasant Wines Pty Ltd and Gayle Dickerson, Tim Mableson and Ryan Eagle executed the Calabria/Medich DOCA on 29 April 2021.
