      Canadian businesses may be eligible for government funding and incentive programs announced as part of the new Canada Defence Industrial Strategy (CDIS). In particular, Canadian defence and aerospace companies, as well as businesses interested in diversifying and supporting this sector, should consider whether they may benefit from new financial support announced on February 17, 2026. These supports include direct funding allocations, capitalization instruments, long term public investments and supply chain development critical to Canada’s sovereign capabilities. Although Canada has not yet provided full details of these upcoming programs, the government has indicated it intends to make initial investments in early 2026.
