Andy is a Partner in the Toronto R&D Tax Incentives Practice. Andy brings with him over two decades of experience across Tax and Advisory at KPMG. With a professional engineering background, his focus is on highlighting software innovation and leading projects to bring R&D investments to Canadian technology companies. He leads a diverse team of engineers and tax professionals to determine eligibility for Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits and government grant opportunities.
Andy’s specialization relates to R&D in the fields of computer science and software engineering. He has led projects to prepare SR&ED claims for several large financial institutions and insurance companies. Prior to joining KPMG, Andy spent several years in industry, applying advanced computer simulation techniques to assist in automotive design engineering.
With his deep knowledge of the SR&ED program and CRA large-filer specialization, Andy and his team help deliver audit-ready projects to maximize the return for R&D value.
