Chandrasekar (Ceekay) Venkataraman joined KPMG Law in 2024 and is an associate lawyer practicing Charitable and Not-for-Profit Law. Ceekay’s practice includes charity & non-profit, corporate, and tax law. Ceekay had previously completed his articling at KPMG Law.
Before joining KPMG Law, Ceekay was an associate at a tax boutique where his practice had focused on Tax Litigation (Income Tax and GST), assisting clients, including charities, throughout the tax dispute resolution process, including at the objection level, and in the Tax Court and Federal Court of Appeal levels. He has worked with charities throughout his legal career and has incorporated multiple Not-for-Profit Corporations, registered charities, contested charities-specific tax assessments, and has successfully represented charities in disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency and the Ontario Public Guardian and Trustee.
Before attending law school, Ceekay worked as an auditor with a large accounting firm in India, where his primary focus was statutory audits of publicly listed corporations and tax audits. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
