Jory Stern is a cross-border tax and estate planning lawyer who represents individuals and small businesses on a wide range of tax, estate planning and mobility issues. His practice focuses on individuals navigating the complexities of cross-border tax and estate planning.
Jory’s practice covers cross-border tax and estate planning for high net-worth individuals, families and business owners. Jory regularly advises on and implements estate plans including wills, trusts, power of attorney and probate and tax considerations on both sides of the border. Jory also assists executors and estate trustees in matters relating to the probate process and settling estates.
Jory has deep experience advising families on the individual tax consequences of their cross-border lifestyles. He also advises and represents clients with respect to tax controversies with both the Canada Revenue Agency and the Internal Revenue Service.
Jory provides cross-border consulting, planning and business expansion plans. Jory also works with owner managed businesses to reorganize structures in a tax efficient manner and provide advice on general corporation matters.
