Chris Sexton is a Senior Tax Partner in KPMG’s tax practice in Toronto. He has over 25 years of experience providing tax advisory services to public and private corporate clients and to high net worth families.
During his long career with KPMG Chris has served in several important roles including Partner in Charge of the Toronto Tax Practice (2010 – 2014), Partner in Charge of the Telecommunications, Media and Technology Tax Practice (2006 – 2009), and KPMG’s lead tax services partner to one of Canada’s largest Telecommunications companies for over 20 years. Chris specializes in tax advisory services to high net worth families and family offices. He is the principal tax advisor to several prominent Canadian families and also provides complex mergers and acquisitions support to KPMG Private Enterprise Tax Practice. He is broadly experienced in Canadian taxation matters including income tax planning, trust and estate tax planning, shareholder agreements, public markets transactions, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, tax efficient structures and financial restructuring.
