Penny joined KPMG in Canada as Chief People Officer (CPO) in January 2026, leading the firm’s people strategy in support of its long-term growth, culture, and business objectives. In her role, Penny is responsible for shaping workforce strategy, leadership development, and talent outcomes across the firm, with a focus on enabling high performance and building a future-ready workforce.

With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in professional services, including Chief People Officer and business unit leader roles, Penny has led large-scale people and organizational transformation, built enterprise HR capabilities, and advanced talent and business strategy for more than 7,000 professionals across Canada and in over 50 countries.

She brings deep expertise in organizational effectiveness, talent management, and leadership development within complex, global environments, and has been recognized for aligning people strategy with business priorities to drive performance and sustainable growth.

A CPA, CA, as well as a CHRL, Penny’s audit background informs her pragmatic, commercially grounded approach to people leadership. In addition to leading her business unit, Penny has driven double-digit growth in client-facing roles and worked closely with boards and private equity sponsors. She understands how a partner-led firm operates and brings a practical, business-first approach to talent, performance and culture.
