KPMG in Canada

Nader Parhamnia is an associate with KPMG Law LLP. His practice covers a broad spectrum of taxation law matters, including corporate, personal and estate tax planning. He joined KPMG in January 2022. Prior to starting at KPMG, Nader articled and practiced as an associate lawyer at a leading western Canadian boutique tax law firm. 

Professional and Industry Experience

  • Nader works with small and medium-sized owner-managed operations to reorganize their business structures in a tax-efficient manner.
  • As an associate, Nader has acted for vendors and purchasers in arm’s length sale of business deals, and for families with related party estate and succession planning. 
  • Nader has experience in tax dispute resolution for both individual and corporate taxpayers. He has argued on behalf of, and obtained favourable results for, taxpayers from auditors and appeals officers at the Canada Revenue Agency and Tax and Revenue Administration (Alberta). He has also appeared before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
  • Nader assists charitable organizations with registering and maintaining their registration with the Canada Revenue Agency.
  • Nader has helped spouses amid divorce proceedings with dividing corporate-owned assets between them in a tax-efficient manner.
