As Partner for KPMG’s Operational Excellence practice, Valerie brings 20+ years’ experience as a strategic leader with a passion for making an impact and driving positive outcomes. Valerie is driven to enable transformation initiatives, leading teams and clients to identify and operationalize solutions to complex problems, optimize processes as well as deliver value via technology enabled innovations.
Valerie’s career spans Canada, the US and Europe where she has led over 30 projects/programs in the last 20 years nationally, provincially and locally. Valerie has managed complex large-scale portfolios, programs and projects, including the national public health redevelopment projects (P3), vendor contracts and technology enabled innovative initiatives, as well as digitization in several provinces. She is experienced in strategic planning, operational execution, and financial management, leading stakeholder consultations and teams to realize optimal outcomes from a strategic, clinical, business and operational perspective. Prior to consulting, Valerie was a hospital director in the US, Mexico and led the development of centers of excellence for care. She also held the national program director role at Canada Health Infoway, contributing to the deployment and funding of health technologies throughout every province.
