Thomas has over 20 years of experience in public practice and leads the KPMG Valuation Services’ financial instruments team. He also serves as the vice-chair of the International Valuation Standards Council (www.ivsc.org) Financial Instruments board.

Thomas has prepared numerous valuations for the purposes of merger and acquisition transactions, corporate recapitalizations, capital funding, portfolio pricing, tax structuring and financial reporting. 

He also has extensive dealings with numerous regulators including the Canadian and US tax authorities, OSFI, the OSC, IIROC, CPAB, PCAOB and various provincial auditor generals.
