Cole M Leonoff

Cole is a Partner at KPMG in Vancouver, specializing in Canadian corporate tax with a focus on the information, communications, consumer markets, and entertainment sectors. He provides specialized tax planning, advisory services, and assistance with complex tax filings to a diverse range of businesses, from growth-stage enterprises to multinational corporations. By collaborating with KPMG's specialists in international tax, transfer pricing, tax incentives, and indirect tax, Cole delivers comprehensive solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of his clients.

His expertise encompasses navigating Canadian and cross-border tax issues, including international expansion, financing and investment structures, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Additionally, Cole is involved in tax provision preparation and audits under various accounting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.

Since joining KPMG in 2015 after earning his Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Cole has obtained his CPA designation and was recognized on the National Honour Roll for the 2017 Common Final Exam. He completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program in 2021 and the Corporate Reorganizations course in 2023. Currently, he serves as a member of the CPABC’s Investigations Committee, further demonstrating his commitment to the profession and the community.
